The TEACH Project's Second Fundraising Soirée
Our objective is to raise funds for various Iranian charities whose work is in line with our mission.
Given the current political turmoil and economical instability in Iran, we believe that providing financial support to these charities is now more important than ever.
After our very successful fundraising event last year – which would not have been possible without the help of our generous donors – we are hosting our second fundraising event on Saturday June 8th, 2024. The entirety of the proceeds of this event will be donated to Arfak, a not-for-profit organization in the south of Tehran that builds schools and facilitates access to education for marginalized children and those who are subject to child labour.
Arfak was co-founded in 2015 by one of The TEACH Project’s founding members, Yasamin Ahmadieh, with the mandate of alleviating the issues surrounding child labour in Tehran and providing education and social services to those deprived of accessing the public school system due to facing significant barriers, such as poverty, child labour, discrimination, lack of documentation or resources.
Arfak’s mission is to provide the necessary educational, social and health services to vulnerable children in need to enable them to remain in school and receive education as an investment towards their future.
To date, Arfak has supported approximately 2000 children throughout Tehran and has supported schools in impoverished communities in the provinces of Baloochestan and Kurdistan in Iran.
